Collaborations
Orb Technology’s products are based upon a combination of in-house expertise and experience together with input from a series of collaborations with various West Midlands based organisations, these include:
- The University of Warwick Science Park’s ‘Ignite’ team.
- The West Midlands Centre of Construction Excellence.
The latter organisation has recently undertaking academic research for Orb Technology relating to the measurement and control of resource productivity on building sites.
We have further recently entered into a collaboration with a midlands based Civil Engineering company in order to merge this academic research with the practicalities of site based operations; the object thereby to develop further applications which effectively allow the contractor to control cost/value productivity on a real time basis and to also demonstrate cause and effect where intervening factors cause reductions in resource productivity.
